Services
Alford Drilling has a solid track record for hitting targets, recovering clean, quality samples, and completing projects -- on time and under budget. Our fleet of truck and track mounted rigs can support a wide range of drilling applications including RC, flooded reverse, mud rotary, core, piezometers, monitor and dewatering wells, exploration, in-fill, etc. We won't give up until we have won your confidence and your continued business. Alford Drilling currently holds licenses in Nevada, Arizona, Idaho, Montana, Utah, Oregon, Wyoming, California, Washington, and New Mexico.
RC Rigs
Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling is a fast, efficient method used to collect high-quality rock samples from deep below the surface. By using dual-wall drill rods, compressed air drives cuttings up through the inner tube, minimizing contamination and delivering accurate, consistent samples.
RC drilling is ideal for mineral exploration, grade control, and resource definition, particularly in hard rock environments. It offers a balance of speed, cost-efficiency, and sample reliability, making it a preferred choice when precise geological data is critical for decision-making.

Core Rigs
Diamond core drilling is a precise method used to extract continuous cylindrical rock samples (core) from beneath the surface. Using a diamond-tipped drill bit, this technique cuts through rock while preserving its structure, providing detailed insight into geological conditions.
Core drilling is essential for mineral exploration, geotechnical analysis, and resource evaluation, where understanding rock composition, structure, and integrity is critical. While typically slower and more costly than other methods, it delivers unmatched accuracy and depth of information—making it the preferred choice when detailed subsurface data is required.
